In this study, I will show the results of flooding experiments using chelating agents on a fractured-core peridotite sample at 200 \u00b0C under confining stress (15 MPa) using aqueous solutions of an environmentally friendly&nbsp;<em>N, N<\/em>-bis(carboxymethyl)-L-glutamic acid (GLDA) at pH 4 for two hours. The results indicate an accelerated dissolution of olivine that created wormholes as large as 300 \u00b5m depth along the fracture, increasing the permeability rapidly by 35-fold.
